One of the main deterrents to business litigation is the fear that even if a judgment is awarded in one’s favor, collecting from the other party will require more effort and expense than it’s worth. While this is a valid consideration, at Webb Law Group, APC, we pride ourselves in finding creative solutions to recover from judgment debtors. Sometimes, the answer is simply to work with the debtor to create a payment plan that doesn’t scare him or her into hiding. When a debtor refuses to cooperate in such a manner, there are still a number of options available to collect on the judgment.

These options include placing liens on property, asset liquidation (usually through bankruptcy), and sale of the judgment to a collections agency. Of course, our office will never recommend pursuing litigation unless we truly believe that recovery is realistic and worthwhile.

“When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day, then battle is your calling, and peace has become sin; you must, at the price of dearest peace, lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy, with all the fire of your faith.”
